Well, she looked less crazy now, Tobias considered. Still... He glanced to Aradath, studying his face for a moment. To anyone beside Tobias, he would look impassive, but the apprentice had known him long enough to read the tiny signs on his face. Aradath disapproved of Illyr for some reason. He tilted his head slightly to the side, considering. He had been too distracted by the beginning of the dance to ask Aradath what had happened. Not distracted by the dance itself, but distracted by the sense that magic had been used. His hand rose unconsciously to the pendant he wore around his neck, a motion that his master spotted instantly.
The elder mage turned his gaze to Illyr, speaking after a moment. "Tell me, what magic did you use in your dance?"
Tobias glanced over at Aradath for a moment. "I think I saw you withdrawing a powder... Is that where the magic came from?"

Illyr looked slightly startled, but regained her composure almost immediately. "Yes- That powder was of a flower that only grows in the Northern Ice. It's rather rare...But I prepared it in case of need. I'm a Healer, you see." She offered a weak smile, riffling through her satchel. Her hand came out with a handful of blue and white powder. "Othe Flower is incredible. Both for its hillucinatory properties and healing alike." She sounded incredibly interested now. Somehow...Excited. This older man...he seemed nice enough, though his suspicion in her was rather unnerving. And this younger man, she hadn't even gotten his name. Come to mention it, she hadn't even given her own. Or had she? The sounds of the Festival seemed to muddle her memory. Like when you have blurred vision...And memory loss. She shut her mouth, which she realised had been slightly open. Why did she drift off like this?! It was terribly rude of her to do such things amoung other people and yet... Illyr pulled at the bag around her shoulder, its old threadbare strap rather worn with age.

"So you throw a hallucinogen into the crowd?" Tobias asked, blinking. "Isn't that kind of dangerous?"
Aradath looked to his apprentice for a moment. ""I assume it is no ordinary hallucinogen," he replied thoughtfully. "Otherwise there would be no real point in using it. It's no good dancing in front of a crowd that isn't seeing what you would want them to see. But one would have to wonder... Do you not have confidence in yourself? Why not just dance in a more traditional way?" His fingers drummed on his staff for a few moments, his gaze sliding towards Tobias. Had they introduced themselves yet? He thought not. He had probably best be getting on with that. He nudged Tobias, nodding toward her. He should introduce himself first, I'm sure she was more interested in someone her own age than with an elderly man like him.
"Huh? Oh right! I am Tobias Lysand." Tobias bowed toward her. "Appr- ... Mage of the Light." He was still getting used to the fact that he wasn't an apprentice any more, Aradath reflected with an amused smile. Then again, it was a bit hard for him to remember himself. He was proud of Tobias, really, but after twenty years of being his mentor, it was hard to give him the space he needed to let him grown on his own. He still felt an overwhelming need to protect him from the dark. His eyes flashed to his apprentice once more before he introduced himself.
"I am Aradath D'Lagen," he said with a respectful bow of the head. "Mage of the Light, Master to Tobias." Might as well get their relationship clear. Many people thought he was Tobias' father, grandfather even. Other people thought thing much more disturbing. It was not an impression he liked to give...

Illyr grinned lightly. "I'm Illyr Norec, Healer of the Northern Ice...previously apprenticed to Penhallow Origanen. He's dead." She said with a slight shrug. "I have confidence in myself, I am just more...conservative of my own body than to have some rude man walk up and ask me for a dance. The Othe lets them have their memory, which fades in some time. It's better than being raped." She let the smile widen wickedly. "Of course, if they tried, Penhallow taught me more than just herbs and poultices." Her hand slipped into a pocket at her side, retrieving a short silver dagger, a cross carved intot he hilt. "Good against werewolves, and vampires-" She cut off, the smile slipping. "I just...The vampire there...Penhallow-who I thought was Penhallow-" It was hard to explain. That the re-animated Penhallow had really been dead. And him speaking...It was Reatcher cackling at her through his eyes. "It's hard to explain what happened." Her hand went to the mark at her throat. It was widening from when Reatcher had whipped his head away in shock. Las tthing expected to happen was a Light Mage, a gypsy, and a wanderer to burst into the copse, even with the scream.

Tobias had edged back slightly at the sight of the knife. "Well ,um, I'm certain you wouldn't have been raped. I mean, this is a festival tradition, not some sort of..." His hand rotated in a circle as he tried to find the right word. However, being as he was, he hardly knew any words that would describe that kind of event. "Umm... Or-"
"But we see your point," Aradath was quick to cut his apprentice off, brow furrowing as he shot him a quick look of disapproval.
Tobias offered an apologetic smile toward his master before considering Illyr again. "But um... That vampire... Do you mean to say that he disguised himself as your master? To get close? Or that your master was the vampire?" Aradath had explained the story to him during the dance, along with some explanation about how she was rather ungrateful about the whole affair, brushing off his attempts at helping her. The apprentice figured that she was just too shaken to be having men near her at that particular moment. Aradath seemed to hink there was a possibility she was some dark being that would burn if one of the light touched her. Well, Tobias didn't quite buy into that, but he knew better than to contradict his master, whose senses were far better than his. Perhaps there was something dark about her, but considering she seemed to attract vampires, that was hardly surprising.
