When poison drips from your split tongue And the words are sugar-sweet Concealing the danger within And buildings crumble from your touch Trapping Truth in layers and layers of filthy dust
...I will burn with angry fire, and you will freeze when you feel my breath
When I am sitting by my window Singing softly to wild Diana Of the cold, the stillness Dreaming of the Wild Hunt, the howl of wolves The warmth, the loyalty, the companionship And all the joys that hide from lonely silence
...I will call out to any who might hear me, and my call will melt stone and ice
When great heroes fall into the Deadly traps of cunning serpents Forever imprisoned by false accusations And misinterpreted actions As Justice lies defeated Bleeding from a wounded heart With her sword tossed aside like dead leaves
...I will sing a song of sorrow, and amber will fall from my eyes
But when words are sugar-sweet And no venom lies within To tear Hope apart like an over-used muscle When the Wild Hunt visits me at my window And Diana herself joins me in song So that all the world can dance and dance Reveling in purity, in freedom With wings sprouting from our backs
...I will toss my mane with a proud roar, and I will smile
