I say now, as I lay my head down to sleep, that I really do miss someone. I musn't...Even as I wish it not to be. I cannot say their name, even as I think it. I'm to leave for the Southern Land of Illinor on the dawn. I'm sad to see that the forest below is still covered in frosty sheets of ice and snow. I heard of a Vampire coven not two nights ago from my father, Alkaline. He wrote to me, sadness in the parchment. 'Dearest Illyr. My little darling of the Northern Ice. I wish you the best on your travels, and wish well to your Mistress. There has been many a disappearance. Your mother is worried sick for you brother, Mickhael. He hasn;t come home. We suspect the group of Daemons known as the Orihamu. They have moved in on our small village, just outside the Wall. Your grandfather has urged us to stay with them within the city, and I am ashamed to say that we must leave our darling daughter outside. They're telling us no one is permitted visitors. Only those expressly authorized by the King are allowed in. What has become of the land?' It goes on to state he misses me, and wishes all my patients well. I merely hope to say...No, I shall not ask of that here. My patients need me. One died last night. A small girl. She was bitten by some strange beast. She described it as a normal Human boy with a...pet? She passed out before she said any more. Were they the Orihamu? I am afraid, travelog. I am afraid for my life.

I was attacked by a Vampire. I can;t say how many nights ago it was. I can't remember much thanks tot hose rotten endorfins. What I do remember is someone there, yelling for it not to happen. I don't know who... It seems I'm repeating myself far too often. With 'I don't know', and the like. It get s tiresome. The girl, the one some time past. Her name was Angelia. Named after the Angel Raziel's own daughter. It's terrible and beautiful, how she died. I hadn't told the story to anyone else. But here is how it happened; I came intot he room, carrying dampened towels with warm water run on them. Angelia had been dozing in her room, the curtains drawn. I saw lights lficker beneath her door. I feared someone had come in. Stolen the near-unconcious girl away. That wasn't the case. Instead, Angleia had risen to the ceiling. Unsupported. Just...hanging there. Her white-blond hair hanging like snakes down her back. THe eyes....They made me want to curl up and cry for my life. Black pits, delved into the sockets. No eyeballs. Just...pits. Ashen lumps above her nose. It was terrible... Her head tilted to look at me. I felt my breath catch. This girl was dead, infected with some other-worldly beast. She dove for me, and I darted away. I thank Raziel for the Avian affinity I trained for. It helped to move from her out-stretched skeletal hands... Not fast enough. She caught my ankle, dragging me to the floor. Sitting atop of me, her nails went up, ready to strike. She never did. Something protruded from her chest. A dagger, a rose-carved ruby set in the hilt. It was of no disign I have ever seen...I hold it now, and can see the look on the girl's face. Bone-white and empty. Then roses burst from her chest. Like a great storm of earthy gods. It was beautiful and terrible at the same time. The colours faded, rose petals settling ont he floor around the dagger. The girl was gone. I still have no idea what happened to her. Although I do wish I knew of the reason she turned so...Hollow. I believe, if I find any more people like Angelia...I shall call them Irques. Northerner for Hollow. I wish, with all my heart, I could thank the one who saved me on those nights. I suspect they are the very same....
